Our Process For Alloy Wheels

Here we have a set of four 18" Volvo wheels. As you can see from the pictures they have come in a little worse for wear. 

Due to the poor condition of these wheels we decided to remove as many marks as possible before they went through the stripping process. Although we can't guarantee the wheels will look factory fresh, we always put our best effort into making the wheels look as good as possible.

The next stage is to chemically strip the wheels. This ensures we remove all the old paint/powdercoat taking the wheels completely back to bare metal. 

We shotblast with a chilled iron grit, this stage is to remove any corrosion from the wheels and give the powder a key to adhere to. We then hand sand the wheels again using a dual action sander to make sure they're as good as possible and make sure our customers are happy with the finished product.

Finally the wheels are powdercoated in our customers choice of colour. In this case Medium Graphite. A clear coat of powder lacquer is then applied to give them a nice glossy look.
